So you get a new Xbox and your parents are letting you pick a game to go along with it but how are you to choose one Xbox 360 game out of all the games that are out there? Shop around.
Shopping for an Xbox 360 Game
The first thing you can do is look up some of the Xbox 360 game review sites on the internet. These sites help you know what to expect after you have purchased the game. It can give you incite on the type of graphics to expect, the ease of learning how to play, and the possibility of playing it again after you have completed it. Some of these sites really help when you are limited to buying or getting only one Xbox 360 game. It can be tough to pick just one due to the vast amount of games out there but it can be done with a little help. After you have checked the reviews try going to one of those stores that sell used games. Most times they will allow you to play an Xbox 360 game or two before you buy it. They want your business and are usually willing to let you try them out before you spend your money. Usually they won’t let you test every single game you want unless it’s very slow in the store but even then you might not be able to hang around all day testing games.
Another option would be to rent an Xbox 360 game from a game rental store. These rentals usually don’t cost more than $5 and you can check to see if this is a game you would continually play. If it isn’t try another one but don’t spend too much renting them unless you have a long list of games you want to test out. Also remember that your parents won’t pay $50-$60 for you to test game after game because at that time they could have bought you a new Xbox 360 game. Use the rentals along with game reviews to narrow down which game you might want your parents to get for you but don’t take too long because sooner or later their patience might run out and you might come up empty. As a last resort ask your friends if you can borrow one of their games or ask them which game you should get. Your friends normally know what you like and can help you as well.
